The MycoTec LAB Mission statement is provide expertise, information, services and training in mycology, at the highest international levels, in the follow themes:

Polyphasic identification and characterisation of fungi, including morphology, biochemical, molecular biology and spectral techniques (MALDI-TOF ICMS and FT-IR);
Fungi from food, clinical and environmental samples;
Mycotoxins;
Supply fungi for teaching and research;
Preserve and manage fungi;
Edition of scientific books;
Promote national and international meetings in biotechnology, health sciences and education;
“On-site” assessments of fungal problems.
